Challenging days for the Robster, but Sita says forge ahead.
I deeply want to run for council -- indeed I do feel committed to doing it, but I have
lingering trouble from a neck injury sustained in February.
Sita is anxious to prove that she can actually collate campaign fliers.
I keep telling her it doesn't matter, but she's hooked on it.
This all began last campaign, when some reporter commented that
she doesn't collate. He didn't know. She collates just fine.
We'll get it on video if we can.
The plan to municipalize Boulder's energy utility is ridiculous. It won't win,
and will therefore jinx ideas that might otherwise be good.
Going toe to toe with monolithic energy companies sounds nice, but
there's nothing really progressive about it. Progressive would mean a move
away from "us-versus-them" confrontations at the ballot box.
Progressive would be...anything original, creative and conducive to
better living. This deal is none of those things and is destined to lose
for several other very good reasons as well.
I hate to disappoint those who are hooked...because it's easy to be
perfectly well-intentioned and hooked on this idea; however, the facts
simply do not support the city racking up debt for this crazy scheme.
More later.
